Daily Itinerary for the 6-Day Ningaloo Reef Adventure

Day 1 Perth – Kalbarri

PERTH 7

After pick-up from your hotel, we head north along the coast toward Cervantes, the gateway to Nambung National Park, home to the iconic Pinnacles Desert. These towering limestone formations create a breathtaking landscape, perfect for capturing stunning photos. As we continue north via Jurien Bay and Leeman, we arrive in Geraldton, Western Australia’s sunniest town. Traveling along the scenic coastal route, we enter Kalbarri National Park, known for its rugged coastline and spectacular river gorges. By evening, we settle into the relaxed town of Kalbarri.

Accommodation: Kalbarri Palm Resort, Kalbarri (Breakfast)

Day 2 Kalbarri – Monkey Mia

KALBARRI

After breakfast, we venture deeper into Kalbarri National Park, where breathtaking views await at Murchison Gorge. Seasonal wildflowers bloom along the trails, adding to the park’s natural beauty. By afternoon, we reach the Shark Bay World Heritage Area, home to pristine beaches, unique wildlife, and historic stromatolites at Hamelin Pool. Arriving in Monkey Mia, we enjoy an up-close encounter with the famous Monkey Mia Dolphins, who visit the shore daily. A sunset catamaran cruise offers an unforgettable view of the coastline.

Accommodation: Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort, Shark Bay (Breakfast)

Day 3 Monkey Mia – Carnarvon

MONKEY MIA 5

Start the day by meeting the friendly Monkey Mia Dolphins before we continue our journey. We stop at the remarkable Shell Beach, composed entirely of tiny white shells, and visit the Shark Bay Interpretive Centre in Denham to learn about this World Heritage-listed region. At Hamelin Pool, witness one of the oldest living organisms on Earth—the stromatolites. The journey to Carnarvon offers vast Outback landscapes and a glimpse into authentic Australian wilderness.

Accommodation: Hospitality Motel, Carnarvon (Breakfast)

Day 4 Carnarvon – Exmouth (Ningaloo Reef)

CARNARVON

Today, we explore the stunning Ningaloo Reef, one of Australia’s best-kept secrets. In Coral Bay, we embark on a Glass-Bottom-Boat Tour, offering a unique view of the vibrant Ningaloo Reef marine life. Snorkel in crystal-clear waters, where you can swim alongside colorful coral, tropical fish, and even sea turtles. Specialists say that marine biodiversity here rivals that of the Great Barrier Reef! Later, we head to Exmouth, the gateway to Ningaloo Reef.

Accommodation: Mantarays Ningaloo Beach Resort, Exmouth (Breakfast)

Day 5 Exmouth – Cape Range National Park / Ningaloo Reef – Exmouth

EXMOUTH

From Vlaming Head Lighthouse, enjoy breathtaking views of the North West Cape, Ningaloo Reef, and the towering Naval Communication Station Harold E. Holt antennas. In Cape Range National Park, we cruise (April – October only) through Yardie Creek Gorge, where you might spot the rare Black-Footed Rock Wallabies. Relax at the stunning Turquoise Bay, where the  experience allows you to float effortlessly over vibrant coral gardens. This is one of the best Ningaloo Reef snorkeling spots (no snorkelling equipment included) to experience firsthand.

Accommodation: Mantarays Ningaloo Beach Resort, Exmouth (Breakfast)

Day 6 Exmouth – Airport Learmonth – Perth
